Report: The European digital battlefield for public opinion: Ensuring continued support for Ukraine

In our new report we have analyzed digital support for Ukraine in six EU member states. The results are worrying as we found that support for aiding Ukraine's war efforts dwindles as opposition gains traction across Europe. It is nationalistic and far-right politicians who are leading the opposition, linking support for Ukraine with domestic issues such as rising living costs and distrust in current leadership. Growing 'war fatigue' threatens to weaken political resolve, potentially slowing down the supply of weapons and financial aid to Ukraine. While primarily evident in Germany and France, this significantly challenges the sustainment of international support for Ukraine. The report also outlines several recommendations on how to re-engage and re-animate support for Ukraine.
